How to use Google Play in Crimea. How to install an unavailable application from Google Play

Starting from February 1, 2015, Google joined the sanctions against Crimea and blocked access to its products on the territory of the Crimean peninsula. Many of the company's products do not work, in particular Google PlayMarket. When accessing and trying to download apps from the store, users receive a 403 error. Compared to Apple's blocking, Google verifies users by IP address, which makes it much more difficult to bypass such blocking.

Taking into account the fundamental principle of blocking, namely changing the IP address, bypass methods can be divided into 4 methods:

  1. Using tunnel programsVPN with changeIP addresses
  2. Using repeaters, routers, tunnels on third-party devices
  3. Downloading content via a personal computer
  4. Using Alternative App Stores

So now let's look at each method in more detail.

Initially, before performing any manipulations, if you have already encountered a 403 error, we recommend that you close the application PlayMarket, go to Settings-Applications-All in the list select the applicationPlayMarket and select Delete data and Clear cache. Then perform the operations below without startingPlayMarket.

Method 1: TunnelsVPN

The point of this method is that you install an application on your Android device that connects to proxy servers and changes your real IP address to any free one. The peculiarities of this method are that you receive the IP address of any accessible country in the world and accordingly go to the Play Market of that country. There are a lot of programs of this type and each of them has its own nuances and specifications. Some of these programs are paid (a free trial period is provided), some have limited functionality (fixed traffic per month, low download speed), some stop working over time, but there are also free programs. We will give you the most popular and tested by our experts in practice. We would like to immediately clarify that we are not responsible for the performance of these programs and the manipulations you perform with your devices.

To begin with, we recommend installing the VPN API package for Android itself, because... on most Chinese devices it is cut out, this package helps VPN programs work correctly by automating the process of connecting to the tunnel. Setting up this package is very simple: after installation, check the boxes next to your characteristics and click Install. Once the download is complete, you will see Tun module is loaded. You can start using your tunnel without rebooting. There are cases where a module (program that cleans your devices) is reset; in this case, just click Install again.

Now briefly about the VPN programs themselves. To install them, in your security settings, allow the installation of applications from unknown sources.

  • — Works everywhere, fast, convenient, no hassles
  • – Requires Android: 4.0 or later, fast, easy to use, free
  • – no Root, no Russification, free, supports many applications
  • – became paid, full functionality works for 5 days, after which you will have to reinstall the application, sometimes it freezes on authentication
  • – The boxed version works perfectly even with online cinemas (FS VideoBox, Films EX.UA, LazyEXua), 7 hours a week for free + there is the opportunity to receive additional hours, support for Android 5+.
  • — Requires Android: 4.1+ and Root, very broad functionality, the ability to assign a route for a specific application.
  • - Requires Android 4.0 or newer, no settings, just a button to turn it on and off.
  • – registration required, 500 MB of traffic per month
  • – low speed, but no traffic restrictions, wide subscription options.

Having installed an application that is convenient for you, launch it, connect to the server and then go to your Play Market and install the necessary applications or update.

Method 2: Repeaters/Routers

This method is quite problematic and does not work on all devices; the simplest implementation of this method is to distribute mobile Internet from an Android device via a Wi-Fi access point to another user who, using your Wi-Fi, can download Play Market content from your Internet traffic. It does not work in all cities, not on all base stations and not on all operators and providers.

Method 3: Installation via PC

This method involves installing applications on your Android device using the Play Market web interface after installing the necessary browser plugin, or using anonymizers. Because installing plugins in Chrome is not possible (install plugins with a VPN connected, we will tell you how to do this in a separate article); we recommend using Mozilla Firefox. We attach brief instructions on how to do this:

  1. Installing the add-on

— Or we install the TOR browser and write the code into it:

In Tor Browser\Data\Tor\torrc the following lines

StrictExitNodes 1

StrictEntryNodes 1

Having connected to your VPN, move on to the next step.

  1. Go to Play Market, log in with your account and download everything you need
  2. Everything you download will automatically come to all your devices.

Method 4: Alternative App Stores

We can only recommend as alternative stores; of course, many applications are not there, but the most popular ones are present there, such as instant messengers and social network clients. Using this store, applications will be automatically updated, which will make your life easier. Installing this market is similar to installing third-party applications.
Let's hope that the extensive article we collected helped, at least somehow helped you, we will update it periodically and add new applications and methods, if any appear. Our specialists are always ready to help you if you have any difficulties setting up.

The Play Market online store is an indispensable assistant for those who use tablets and smartphones with Android OS. Games and books, songs and films, useful utilities - you can find anything in the vast Play Market. But users from Crimea are faced with a problem when there is simply no access to the store. When they try to access the Play Market, they see the numbers “403” (error code) and text informing them that the application cannot be downloaded.

Can't access Play Market: what's the problem?

Error “403” – access to the application is denied. Residents of Crimea will guess the reason on the first try. Problems with the Play Market are caused by new economic sanctions. Google introduced them in 2016 in relation to the peninsula, which illegally (according to the management of the American company) joined the Russian Federation. Crimeans were deprived of the opportunity to log in and download anything from a popular online store.

The location of the device from which they access the Play Market is determined automatically by IP. If the address belongs to Crimea, then access is immediately blocked. The method is effective, but workarounds are easy to find.

Want to bypass the ban? Learn to mask and change the IP address of your mobile device. You don't need to know programming languages or pay money. Any user can cope with the task.

How to download from Play Market in Crimea on Android?

To get full access to the store, you need to install a VPN connection on your smartphone/tablet. It is a network that protects and encrypts user data on the network. VPN also provides the necessary anonymity and helps hide your real IP address.

All we need to do is download a program to work with VPN. Download, install it and get to work. When launching the application, you just need to specify the IP of which country to use to connect to the Play Market.

There are quite a lot of programs that allow you to work with VPN. Let's look at the example of OpenVPN Connect. The main advantage of the application is its accessibility. There is no need to pay for downloading and use. Additionally, you need to install the EasyOvpn plugin, which searches for free VPN servers.

To access the Play Market, follow the instructions:

  1. Enable EasyOvpn utility. It shows the user a list of available servers. Select the appropriate option (not Russia).
  2. Download the OpenVPN program.
  3. Agree to connect to the selected server.
  4. Open Play Market.

If OpenVPN Connect is not installed on your smartphone/tablet, then go to the gadget’s settings and allow the system to download and install applications from unknown sources. The corresponding checkbox is placed in the “System”, “Security” section.

Since February 1, Android users in Crimea have been granted access to the Play Store by the American authorities and Google. Russian government agencies are no better - almost every day information appears on the Internet about the blocking of a particular resource. And finally, the developers themselves often limit access to their services based on geography. All these blocks can be reliably bypassed using one tool - a VPN.

VPN is a virtual private network that serves as an intermediary between a resource and the end user. It is used in cases where access to the service cannot be obtained directly; the data is sent to an IP belonging to a country where this service is not blocked, and then transmitted to the user in whose country the bans apply.

There are several ways to establish a connection via VPN on an Android device: manually through the system settings and automatically through a special application. Let's look at both using the example of the VPNGate website, which is supported by enthusiasts and contains up-to-date information about working free VPN networks.

Establishing a VPN connectionthrough system settings

1. Open the network settings, go to the advanced settings section and find the VPN tab there.

2. Set a password or PIN to unlock the screen (if you don’t already have one).

3. Click on the add a new network button.

4. Fill in the fields required to establish a connection:

The Name can be anything (for example, “VPN”).

Connection type - L2TP/IPSec PSK.

The server address must be taken from the list of VPN networks on the VPNGate website. You can use an IP address, but it is better to use an address that ends in .opengw.net.

The L2TP secret and IPSec identifier fields do not need to be filled in, and in the IPSec pre-shared key line, specify “vpn” (without quotes).

Open advanced settings (check the box) and in the “Forwarding routes” line enter the address 0.0.0.0/0.

Save your settings.

5. When starting the network for the first time, enter the username “vpn”, password “vpn” and click on the connect button.

Most often, Google Play refuses to install an application for one of the following reasons:

  1. According to the developers, the hardware of your device does not ensure comfortable operation of their application.
  2. The application is not available for installation in your country.
  3. You have the wrong operating system version.

Changing the device model manually

You can bypass hardware limitations yourself and without using additional software, if you have superuser rights.

All Android smartphones have a special build.prop file that determines the device model. If you have, then you can edit this file and present your device as a completely different device. Of course, physically your budget smartphone will not miraculously turn into a branded flagship, but you will be able to install programs that are marked as incompatible with your device.

Market Helper

The Market Helper utility makes the procedure for replacing a device model faster, easier and safer, since it does not affect the build.prop file. The app is required and for obvious reasons is not available on Google Play. Therefore, you will have to download the program from the developer’s website.

In addition to bypassing hardware limitations, Market Helper allows you to spoof the cellular operator you are using. By pretending to be a resident of a country where the desired application is available, you can install the utility on your device.

VPN

In some cases, bypassing regional restrictions is possible using a virtual private network (VPN - Virtual Private Network), which replaces your real location.

w3bsit3-dns.com

The easiest and fastest way to get the desired application without using superuser rights is to download the distribution in the form of an APK file from the website w3bsit3-dns.com. Just enter a query like “[application name] 4pda” into Google.

Before downloading the file, make sure that you are doing it from the w3bsit3-dns.com website. There are many resources on the Internet that distribute “modified” distributions with malicious code.

To use the downloaded APK file, you must allow third-party apps to be installed on your device.

Please note: even w3bsit3-dns.com, despite its reputation, cannot be a guarantee of the security of the distributions hosted on it. Installing an application from an unofficial source is always a risk. Only you are responsible for the consequences.

APK Downloader

There are web services that can download applications in the form of APK files directly from Google Play.
